About BCTC Correctional Educational Programs
The Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) offers comprehensive secondary and post-secondary opportunities in order to assist inmates with integration back into society along with possible employment in high-wage, long-term employment positions. BCTC is one of the three correctional education regions in Kentucky – the other two regions being the Maysville Community & Technical College and the Jefferson Community &Technical College. The following sites have correctional educational programs:
- Bell County Forestry Camp (Pineville, KY.) - ABE and college programs.
- Blackburn Correctional Complex (Lexington, KY.) – technical programs of carpentry, horticulture, masonry, and welding, as well as ABE and college programs.
- Frankfort Career Development Center (Frankfort, KY.) - ABE and college programs.
- Northpoint Training Center (Burgin, KY.) - technical programs of carpentry, electrical, and masonry, as well as ABE and college programs.
