Visiting Students
If you are currently enrolled at another institution and you wish to take a course, you would be considered a visiting student.  Students who are currently enrolled at another institution who wish to attend Bluegrass Community and Technical College for one semester are considered visiting students.  If you have questions about the visiting student application process, please contact us at 859.246.6210.

Visiting students must submit the following information for each semester in which they wish to enroll:

• An application for admission.  The application for admission can be printed off the web here or submitted online here.

• A letter of good standing or an official transcript from the Registrar of the current institution which reflects the current cumulative grade point average (G.P.A.). Students who are currently taking classes at another KCTCS school are not required to submit a letter of good standing.  Students in visiting status are permitted to take a maximum of six credit hours per semester.

In addition, international visiting students

• Official scores of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)* or proof of completion of the fifth level of the University of Kentucky English as a Second Language Program or an official transcript showing grades of A or B in English 101 and 102 (or equivalents) at an accredited American college, or a college in another country where English is the native language, and;

• A current financial statement in English from the applicant's bank verifying that the applicant has the necessary funds for the school year.

*The score from the TOEFL must be at least 500 paper-based or 173 computer-based and the results must not be more than eighteen months old at the time of initial enrollment.
